For the poster design, we refined the newspaper theme and created a collage of newspaper articles about each individual with a portrait image and brief introduction. We used this visual on the mobile app as well and wrote an essay about each article used on the posters so interactors can actually read and learn about the individual.

 Early Phase

Early Phase

There were numerous challenges during the project because finding good assets for them was very difficult and we had to design both posters and electronic prototype to incorporate the exhibition. During our extensive research to overcome the asset issue, we found newspaper archives about them at the time and we wanted to revisit the history and highlight our subjects’ achievements through these.

Designing posters and mobile app together

Since the exhibition required both physical and virtual elements to incorporate each other, I and my teammate chose to split up the role. While he mostly worked on the poster design, I worked on a mobile app design. During the whole process, we continued the discussion on poster and app design to provide opinion and keep the theme and layout similar to each other.
